Across the Deep Jacket Design

I was asked to do a jacket design for this interesting book, Across the Deep by Lisa McGuiness, all about the horrors of modern-day slavery. It’s a really interesting book and was fun to work on. As I do on many of my book covers, I designed the type, which is one of my favorite things to do. Here’s the full jacket layout, which I think is interesting to see, so that you can see how the jacket design relates to the illustration.
