Skateboard Decks
/Last year, my niece asked me if I could teach her how to skate. Naturally, this caused me to go buy myself a skateboard. I figured, you know, I’m 50 — fragile bones and all. Time to pick up skateboarding again.
Since I suck at skate tricks, I decided I would up my street cred by painting my own boards. Here are two I did recently — these were even featured in a CCA alumni show in 2019!
The first is my portrait of the filmmaker Stanley Kubrick as a young man. The second is a tribute to my fierce and loyal cat, Vantablack, whose anarchism is a constant point of contention in our home.
